Este libro es una amplia antología donde se selecciona la obra de esta autora desde su primer libro, En silencio (Madrid, 1926), hasta Huyeron todas las islas (Madrid, 1988).Es la suya una obra que trata de la condición humana desde una perspectiva individual y emotiva. Una poesía que se comporta como un acto gradual de descubrimiento personal, pero que pretende desde lo subjetivo, desde la vivencia más íntima y personal, abordar cuestiones metafísicas (vida-amor-muerte-Dios) que, alejándola de un inútil confesionalismo, le permiten expresar el significado esencial del vivir humano.
