F.Scott Fitzgerald (1896-1940) was an American writer and one of me most important voices of American literature in the 20th century.He is mainly known for his novels, the most famous among them being Tbe Great Gatsby (1925),but he also wrote several notable short stories.

Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) was a Danish writer and poet known today especialiy for his short stories and Fairy Tales.As a young man,he started writing rhe stories he heard as a child,slowly developing me characteristic dark humour and surprising twists and turns of his most famous works.

Andersen wrote many foiry tales and took the genre to a whole new level of maturity and importance,broadening the appeal of this kind of literature and taking it beyond the confines of age and nationality.

Tales of the Alhambra was written by American author Washington Irving in 1829,during his brief stay at the Alhambra Palace,in Granada.

 

His stay on theAlhambra,the stories he read during his research and the ones he heard from locals inspired him to attempt an homage ro this beautiful building,with a collection of legends,essays and verbal sketches about the history of the Alhambra,the monarchs who lived there,its he roes and villains,romances,deaths and triumphs.
